In a horrific accident, five people, including two women, were killed in a collision between a truck and a pickup on Hafizabad Road in Gujranwala on Saturday. Four others were critically wounded in the accident. According to reports, the incident took place in Qila Deewan Singh near Nokhar.

The deceased were identified as 55-year-old Nasreen, 45-year-old Rukhsana, 13-year-old Azan, 60-year-old Amjad Pervaiz and 25-year- old Jibran. Those who were injured were Anjum, Amina, Majeedan Bibi and Shabnam. Rescue 1122 personnel shifted the dead and the injured to a hospital.
