Five notorious criminals who were involved in multiple cases of target killings were killed during a police counter in Peshawar. According to CCPO Mian Dr Saeed, the outlaws were members of the notorious gang Najam-ul-Hassan alias Pinay and wanted by several police stations in the province in serious criminal cases, including attacking police personnel and targeting social and political personalities.
On the day of the incident, police conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Daudzai. During the raid, the outlaws opened fire on police, who retaliated in a befitting manner and eliminated the suspects.CCPO Mian Dr Saeed claimed that the police had dismantled the gang of the target killers. He said that with the end of the encounter, police cordoned off the area and started a search operation.
A personnel of Elite Force Hammad Ali was shot dead by some unidentified assailants near his home located in Sangota area of Swat. Police said that the policeman was performing his duty in the Timergara area, but was at his home to spend the vacations with his family. Soon after receiving the report, a heavy contingent of police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body of Hammad Ali to Saidu Teaching Hospital in Swat. District Police Officer (DPO) Mohammad Umar said that police were collecting evidence from the scene.
