Five people were killed when a speeding dumper truck collided with a passenger coach in Tharparkar’s Mithi-Badin Road, police and hospital sources said on Friday.According to reports, the dumper was travelling on the wrong side of the road when it struck the coach. Five passengers aboard the coach died on the spot.Seven injured passengers were shifted to Civil Hospital Mithi for treatment.

According to the Medical Superintendent (MS) of the hospital, four of the injured were in critical condition and were referred to another hospital for further treatment. Three injured passengers are currently receiving treatment at Civil Hospital Mithi.The accident comes weeks after another fatal road crash in Khanpur. On September 6, seven wedding guests were killed and more than 60 others injured when a tractor trolley carrying wedding guests collided with a trailer on the National Highway.

According to reports, the tractor trolley was travelling from Sardar Garh to Zahir Pir when it collided head-on with an oncoming trailer. Four people were killed on the spot, while more than 60 others sustained injuries. Following the accident, the local administration and rescue teams reached the scene. The bodies and injured were recovered and shifted to a nearby hospital.
