Former cricket umpire and cricket organizer Rab Nawaz Senior breathed his last after falling seriously sick in Lahore. His Namaz-e-Janaza will be offered at Masjid Bhagay Shah Garhi Shahu at 1 pm.The former Test umpire Rab Nawaz was born on October 17, 1940, in Lahore. He stood in two one-day international cricket matches between 1982 and 1984.

President of Lahore Region, Khawaja Nadeem Ahmad, President East Zone, Bilal Muqeet, Secretary Habibul Hassan Shah, Treasurer Shahbaz Ali, Manager Cricket Operations Abid Hussain, Irfan Munawwar, Wasif Zaman, Malik Aslam, Kamil Shah, Baba Khurshid, Abid Zulfiqar Khan, Ahmad Ayaz Khan, Ejaz Shah and Ahmad Din expressed their heartfelt grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Rab Nawaz Senior.

They prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with courage.
