Four under-custody accused were killed during separate police encounters in Lahore.These police encounters took place in Kotwali, Township and Civil Lines areas. Crime Control Department (CCD) sources said that the accused Abdul Shakoor and Babar died during a police encounter in Kotwali area. CCD sources further said that the accused Saeed had died in a police encounter in the Civil Lines area of Lahore. The CCD sources said that the accused Nazir Ahmad was killed during a police encounter in the Township area of Lahore. 

CCD sources further revealed that a CCD team was taking the arrested accused, Nazir Ahmad, for recovery.Suddenly, his accomplices appeared and started firing on the police team in a bid to free him from police custody.Accused Nazir Ahmad became seriously injured after receiving gunshots from his accomplices.  He was immediately rushed to the hospital but died on the way. CCD sources said that the accused was involved in more than three dozen criminal cases. Later, all the accomplices of the accused escaped from the scene, taking advantage of the darkness.
