Four accused were gunned down and one seriously injured during separate police encounters in Lahore.These police encounters took place in Misri Shah, Sanda, Batapur, and Nishtar Town areas of Lahore. In the first police encounter near T No. 4 in Sanda, two accused who were identified as Waseem and Riasat were shot dead.A Crime Control Department (CCD) team said that the dead accused were involved in different criminal cases.

In another police encounter in Misri Shah, one accused Rohit Masih died when his accomplices opened fire on the CCD team.  The CCD sources said that the accused was involved in more than 50 serious criminal cases. In a separate police encounter in Batapur, an accused namely Sabir died when his colleagues started firing on the police team. A CCD team raided the Khara Pul area to apprehend the accused Sabir.

The accomplices of the accused, after taking notice of the police team, started firing.During the exchange of fire, the accused Sabir became seriously injured. He was shifted to Mayo Hospital but died in the hospital due to severe injuries.

In a police encounter in Nishtar Colony, an accused who was identified as Umar, who raped an eight-year-old girl in the Ghalib Market area of Lahore eight days ago, became seriously injured when a pistol, which he had hidden in his trousers, suddenly opened, injuring him badly.

A Crime Control Department team said that the accused tried to use the pistol to fire at the CCD team.
