Four notorious criminals were killed, and a police constable was injured during a Gujranwala Police and Crime Control Department (CCD) team encounter.According to details, a joint team of Gujranwala police and CCD was taking the accused Qayyum and Ehtesham alias Shamoo for recovery in a case related to the martyred police constable Mohammad Akram’s murder.

On the way, two accused, Umar Gujjar and Awais Gujjar, and six other accused attacked the police team and freed them from police custody. The accused suddenly came face-to-face with the police team under the jurisdiction of Aimanabad Police Station.After the exchange of fire, police found two accused, Ehtesham alias Shamoo and Qayyum, in an injured condition.

They were being shifted to the hospital, but they died. During the heavy exchange of fire, notorious accused Umar alias Umari Gujjar and Awais Gujjar were also killed.All these accused were involved in the gruesome murder of Constable Mohammad Akram and Constable Ikramul Haq.

The accused were wanted by the police in serious criminal cases, including murder, attempted murder, and police encounters.CPO Dr. Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan  took notice of the incident and sought a comprehensive report from the SP of Saddar  CPO Dr. Sardar Ghiyaa Gul Khan said that proving secure and peaceful environment is the government’s topmost priority.
