Funeral prayers for nine police personnel, including DSP City Diyar Khan, who were martyred in a terrorist attack on a police check post in Hangu, were offered with full state honours at the Hangu Police Lines on Thursday.The solemn ceremony was attended by Commandant Police Training College Hangu Shoaib Abbas, Deputy Commissioner Basir Ali Rahman, senior police officials, fellow officers, jawans, and a large gathering of local elders and residents.
During the ceremony, floral wreaths were laid on the coffins of the martyrs as participants paid rich tribute to their bravery, dedication, and supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. A police contingent presented a guard of honour in recognition of their services to the nation. Following the funeral prayers, the bodies of the nine martyrs were dispatched to their native areas where they will be buried with official honours.
