A ninth-grade girl student was seriously injured after acid attack in Chuhng area of Lahore.According to police, the incident occurred when the victim student was returning home from academy.  The accused Sajid suddenly came, threw acid on the girl students and escaped.Face, head and shoulders of the victim burnt and she is undergoing treatment in hospital.

The accused had grudge over refusal of marriage by the victim’s family due to which accused targeted innocent student.Police registered case number 1630/26 on father of victim complaint and started investigation and search of accused by setting up pickets citywide.  Meanwhile, police stopped suspicious motorcyclists in Green Town area but the bikers opened firing on police team.

Police took timely action, chased accused and arrested one accused in injured condition who later was identified as Sajid. Police shifted the accused in Jinnah Hospital in injured condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
