A glacier burst at Rawshan in the Ghizer region has caused a dangerous rise in water flow, prompting fears of possible flooding in the Indus River. The district administration of Diamer has been placed on high alert. According to officials, SP Diamer has issued emergency instructions to all SHOs.

Residents living along the riverbanks in Chilas have been directed to move to safer locations, while the public has been strictly warned against going near the river. Authorities have also ordered that warning messages be broadcast through mosque loudspeakers and circulated on social media to alert communities at risk. Police have been directed to ensure a swift response in case of any emergency situation.
