Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has emphasized that confronting the challenges of climate change requires collective resolve and practical action.He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is directly facing the adverse impacts of environmental changes, adding that youth must be prepared to take a leading role in climate action and be placed at the center of sustainable national development policies.

He expressed these views while addressing the National Climate Conference of Youth 2025 as the chief guest at Iqra University, Islamabad, on Tuesday. The event was attended by CEO of the National Youth Club for Climate Change (NYCCC) Umair Mufakkar, students, and environmental activists.Governor Kundi congratulated the organizers and partner institutions on successfully holding the important conference, terming it a significant platform for youth engagement in climate resilience.

He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa witnessed severe effects of climate change this year and stressed the need to turn these challenges into economic opportunities. Highlighting the critical role of young people, Governor Kundi remarked that youth are not merely stakeholders but the future leaders of the climate movement. He urged local governments to collaborate with youth organizations to effectively implement the Green Pakistan initiative, emphasizing that concrete and practical steps are essential to complete plans into reality.
