President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have renewed the pledge to ensure adequate, balanced and quality food supply for all citizens and eliminate malnutrition from the country. In their separate messages on World Food Day being observed , they said Pakistan is making concrete efforts to promote climate-smart farming and stronger food supply chains.
In his statement, the President said initiatives to cut food waste and programs to boost productivity are central to these efforts. The Prime Minister, in his statement, said Government is developing a strategy to address the impacts of climate change by utilizing available resources.
