Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has stated that provincial government is introducing legal reforms to further empower women. Talking to Acting US Ambassador to Pakistan Natalie A. Baker in Lahore today, she called for formulating comprehensive policies to address development challenges and climate change.Both sides discussed promotion of education, security and investment opportunities in Punjab during the meeting.
The meeting also focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of security, Artificial Intelligence, digital assets and energy.Both sides agreed to explore the services of US experts to support Punjab's efforts in flood management and smog mitigation. They also reviewed a proposal to organize Punjab-U.S. Business and Investment Forum in Lahore.
