Govt to build Rs3b aquaculture Park in BalochistanBreaking

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhary said on Saturday that the government has decided to construct an Aquaculture Park with an estimated cost of Rs3 billion in Balochistan.The Federal Minister was presiding over a special meeting regarding “Blue Economy” in Islamabad.Addressing the participants of the meeting, Junaid Anwar Chaudhary said that an Aquaculture Park will be constructed on 120 acres of land. 

Representatives from Gwadar Port, Korangi Fish Harbour, and Marine Fisheries, Balochistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry also present during the meeting. Junaid Anwar Chaudhary said that this project will be completed under the patronage of public-private entrepreneurship. He said that eco project will help in the enhancement of seafood exports. The Federal Minister said that Pakistan’s seawater is suitable for the promotion of eco culture. 

Junaid Anwar Chaudhary said that eco culture and infrastructure investment is vital for the country’s progress and development. The Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs said that this eco culture model will be implemented in Balochistan province also. The Minister directed to shift sub-office of Marine Fisheries Department to the building of Gwadar Port Authority (GPA). He said that the shift of offices to the relevant place will expedite coordination and decision-making.
