Hajj organizers hold protest in Islamabad Breaking

A group of 57 Hajj organizers held a protest demonstration outside Kohsar Secretariat in Islamabad after the  Ministry of Religious Affairs refused to allot them the Hajj quota.  The family members of Hajj organizers also participated in the protest. Sources said that a heavy contingent of police was summoned  to keep the law0 and order situation under control.

A Joint Action Committee of the Hajj organizers later decided to hold a sit-in till acceptance of their demands. The Joint Action Committee appealed to the Federal Ombudsman to ensure the distribution of the Hajj quota purely on merit. The JAC  also demanded the inclusion of 57 new Hajj organizing companies in the process of the Private Hajj Scheme of 2026.

The accused the Ministry of Religious Affairs of adopting a different attitude towards Hajj organizers. They said that as per the Constitution Section 18, a special group is being allotted the Hajj quota, which his a clear violation of the Constitution.
