A private hotel close to Tarbela Dam in Haripur was evacuated after it was inundated following the opening of the spillways of the dam, which had almost been filled to its capacity due to heavy rains. The capacity of the storage of water in the dam is 1,550 feet, while presently it stands at 1,548 feet.

The inflow of water in the dam is 412,000 cusecs while the outflow has been recorded at 381,000 cusecs. Meanwhile, on the orders of the deputy commissioner, a ban has been imposed on the entry of tourists in Naran Valley in Mansehra.
