IHC fixes Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi’s acquittal pleas in Toshakhana-II case for hearingتازترین

In an important development in the Toshakhana-II case, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday fixed for hearing the acquittal petitions filed by the former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi on October 7.Justice Inam Amin Minhas will hear the petitions.  It is pertinent to mention here that both Imran and Bushra have also filed petitions in the court, seeking a halt to a trial in the Toshakhana-II case. On the other hand, the hearing of the Toshakhana-II case will be held at Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi today.

Special Judge Central Shah Rukh Arjumand will hear the case. On Tuesday, the Toshakhana-II case against the PTI founder and his wife reached a decisive stage, with the prosecution completing testimonies of its last two witnesses at Adiala Jail.So far, 20 witnesses have testified, and cross-examination has been completed on 18. The case pertains to Imran and Bushra retaining an expensive Bulgari jewellery set gifted by the Saudi royal family, including a necklace, earrings, bracelets, and rings — at a low price, causing significant loss to the national exchequer.
