Indian forces have arrested several Kashmiri youth in different parts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. According to Kashmir Media Service, during cordon-and-search operations and house raids, Indian police detained over a dozen youth, including Muslim League leader Hayat Ahmed Butt, Ghulam Qadir Mir and his son Abdul Qadeer Mir, Zubair Ahmed Bangroo, Bilal Ahmed Bangroo, and Sajad Ahmed Bangroo, in various areas of Srinagar and Budgam districts.
The arrested were lodged in Kothbalwal, Udhampur, and Srinagar Central Jail under draconian laws. Several other youth had already been detained in different police stations ahead of India’s Republic Day on January 26, adding to the atmosphere of harassment and fear across the territory.Meanwhile, during a search operation, Indian forces detected an improvised explosive device (IED) at Takiya Tapper in the Pattani area of Baramulla district.
