July 26, 2025

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Indian police have attached the properties of three more Kashmiris in Kupwara district.According to Kashmir Media Service, acting on the orders of New Delhi-imposed administration in IIOJK led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, police seized 6 kanals and 13 marlas of land belonging to Abdul Hamid Sheikh, Qazi Khushal Pathan, Manzoor Ahmed Sheikh, all residents of Karnah area of the district, under the black law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act UAPA).

This comes a day after occupation authorities seized a residential house and 5 kanal and 17 marlas of land from two individuals in Baramulla and Kupwara districts, also under UAPA provisions.Since the illegal abrogation of IIOJK’s special status in August 2019, the BJP-led Indian government has intensified its campaign to dispossess Kashmiris of their homes and lands. This policy is meant not only to economically cripple the indigenous population but also change the demographic composition of the occupied territory by facilitating the settlement of non-locals on confiscated properties.
