Indian police attach properties of two more Kashmiris in IIOJKBreaking

December 11, 2025

The BJP-led Indian regime has attached the properties of two more Kashmiris in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir as part of its ongoing campaign to dispossess the local population. According to Kashmir Media Service, acting on the orders of the New Delhi-imposed administration headed by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) attached the property of Zahid Hussain in Mangota village of Doda district under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The police also attached a three-storey residential house along with one kanal of land, valued at around Rs 2 crore, belonging to Fayaz Ahmad Butt in the Shaltang area of Srinagar district. Since the illegal abrogation of IIOJK’s special status in August 2019, the BJP government has intensified its drive to seize homes, land, and other assets of Kashmiris.

These measures are aimed not only at economically crippling the indigenous population but also at altering the demographic composition of the occupied territory by paving the way for the settlement of non-locals on confiscated properties. The latest attachments form part of a wider crackdown on Kashmiris who continue to uphold their demand for the settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with relevant UN resolutions.
