Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi visited Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport on Tuesday morning and monitored the process of immigration. He went to different counters and inquired about the travel history of passengers. He praised the Director FIA Ali Zia and his team for ensuring brisk immigration of passengers.
The minister also met with the passengers going overseas as well as those returning home and received feedback from them about the immigration process. The passengers expressed their satisfaction and praised the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials. One of the passengers told Naqvi that his immigration was completed in only two minutes. The other said that due to his visits to airports, the process of immigration had improved.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that those possessing valid documents were neither being barred from travelling nor would they be barred in future. “However, those passengers who are without complete documents and those who have bogus documents will not be allowed to board the plane.” Passengers, he went on to say, who could bring a bad name to the country could not be allowed to travel.
