Pakistan's military media wing, ISPR, has released a new patriotic anthem titled "Azadi" to mark Kashmir Exploitation Day, observed annually on August 5. Performed by singer Wajid Saeed, the anthem pays tribute to the resilience, courage, and determination of the Kashmiri people while conveying Pakistan's message of solidarity and support for what it describes as their right to self-determination. The release has quickly attracted widespread attention across social media, with many users praising its emotional message and powerful presentation.

According to ISPR, the anthem reflects the emotions, aspirations, and resilience of the people of Kashmir. Through heartfelt lyrics and a moving melody, the song delivers a message of hope, unity, and perseverance while honouring the sacrifices and steadfastness of Kashmiris. One of the anthem's most memorable lines, "Tumhare Saath Thay Aur Saath Hum Rahenge" ("We stood with you, and we will continue to stand with you"), reinforces Pakistan's message of continued solidarity with the people of Kashmir.

The lyrics emphasise courage, resilience, and the determination to remain united despite ongoing challenges. The accompanying music video features scenes depicting the Kashmir conflict. According to ISPR, it highlights the hardships faced by Kashmiris, particularly women and children, while paying tribute to their resilience and determination in the face of difficult circumstances. Released on the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day, the anthem also reaffirms Pakistan's longstanding position on the Kashmir issue and its support for the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination.
