October 08, 2025

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan staged nationwide street protests on Tuesday on the second anniversary of Hamas’ Al-Aqsa Flood operation.  Israel’s military strikes have since killed more than 67,000 Palestinians and left the majority of 2.2 million Gazans homeless and starving in an enclave destroyed by relentless bombardment.

Thousands of people on Tuesday took part in hundreds of small and large demonstrations across various cities in Pakistan, including Karachi, to express solidarity with the Palestinian people.  Protesters chanted slogans against Israel and the United States, calling for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The demonstrations drew participants from diverse segments of society, including students, lawyers, traders, scholars, and civil society activists. Protesters condemned Israeli aggression and U.S. support for the ongoing military campaign.
