Kashmir Solidarity Day to be observed on ThursdayBreaking

February 03, 2026

Preparations for observing Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 05 (Thursday) have begun across Pakistan, with a series of activities being arranged to express solidarity with the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their just and principled struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination through a UN-mandated plebiscite.

The people and the governments of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir observe Kashmir Solidarity Day every year not only to renew their bond of love and affection with the people of IIOJK but also to reiterate their unwavering commitment to the liberation of the occupied territory from illegal Indian occupation.

The day will be marked by extensive programmes, including day-long rallies, demonstrations, and seminars across the country, as well as the formation of human chains by joining hands with Pakistani brethren at all entry points of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).  The human chains formed by Pakistani and Kashmiri people aim to reaffirm unity and fraternity, reflecting the deep bonds of love and affection shared by the two peoples.

Various public and private departments, educational institutions, and literary and cultural organizations have planned conferences, rallies, seminars, discussion programmes, and competitions to highlight the Kashmiri people’s struggle for their right to self-determination in accordance with United Nations resolutions.

The print and electronic media will highlight the Kashmiri people’s struggle for their just right to self-determination, the gross human rights violations in the Valley, and Pakistan’s stance on resolving the Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. The day will dawn with special prayers for the martyrs of Kashmir, the success of the freedom struggle, and the expression of solidarity with the Kashmiri people.

Messages from high-level officials will also be issued on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day to reaffirm support for the Kashmir cause.  To commemorate the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and to express solidarity with them, a group of federal ministers will lead a solidarity walk on February 05, 2026.

The observance of the day also aims to highlight the long-standing unresolved Jammu and Kashmir dispute at the international level and to convey to the people of Jammu and Kashmir that they are not alone in this hour of trial and turmoil, as the people of Pakistan and AJK stand firmly with them.

The hearts of the people of Pakistan and Kashmir beat in unison. Pakistan will continue to extend full moral, political, and diplomatic support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their just and principled struggle for freedom until it reaches its logical conclusion.
