A Lady Constable was allegedly shot dead over marriage feud in Harbanspura area of Lahore on Tuesday. Inspector General Punjab Police taking notice of the incident directs to arrest the culprit. According to 24-year-old Lady Constable Saman hailing from Shahdara area of Lahore who came to the locality with a friend on motorcycle was firstly tortured by the youth in a park after which local people gathered at the scene. The accused dispersed the people through aerial firing, shot dead Saman and sped the scene of crime. SP Cantt Awais Shafique with heavy contingent of police visited the scene and shifted the body to hospital for postmortem. The SP Cantt said that the incident was being investigated from all viewpoints and a team headed by SDPO Baghbanpura has been constituted to arrest the culprit. IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar taking notice of the incident has sought report from CCPO Lahore. He directed to thoroughly investigated into the incident and use all resources including CCTV footage to arrest the culprit.
