A lady doctor who has been abducted from a hospital in Abbottabad four days ago was found murdered and buried in a forest. Dr Wardah, who had a dispute of 67 tolas of gold with a friend, was abducted from DHQ Hospital four days ago. Police had already the doctor’s friend and her husband for their involvement in doctor’s abduction, saying the couple owed 67 tolas of gold to the deceased. The police said doctor’s friend handed her over to the hired assassins, and now her dead body had been found buried in Thandiani Forests.
A police party went to the forest and recovered the body of the doctor. Earlier, the Doctors Association had announced a province-wide protest and strike against the abduction of the doctor. According to hospital and family sources, Dr Wardah left the DHQ Hospital four days ago in the company of a close female friend and has not returned since. Sources claimed that Dr Wardah had entrusted around 67 tolas of gold to this friend for safekeeping before travelling abroad. She reportedly went to retrieve the gold upon her return and had been missing ever since.
