Lahore, with AQI 285, ranked as world’s second most-polluted cityBreaking

Despite receiving rain a few days ago, Lahore, the city of gardens, could not get rid of smog as it was ranked as the second most polluted city in the world on Monday. The overall air quality index (AQI) in the city was recorded at 285. It was 389 over the US consulate, 355 over Phase-8 in DHA, 325 over Fida Hussain and 304 over The Mall. On the other hand, weather has become chillier in the provincial capital forcing the residents to wear warm clothes.The minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 13 degrees Celsius early in the morning, while it would touch 26 degrees Celsius later in the afternoon.The humidity level in the air was recorded at 56 per cent. Weathermen, on the other hand, said there was no possibility of rain in the city in the next few days.
