Large-scale operation in Sindh Katcha areas launched Breaking

Sindh Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar has announced the launch of a large-scale operation in the Katcha areas across the province.   Speaking to the media in Sukkur, the minister said that strict action would be taken against armed dacoits operating in the riverine areas.

He warned that those who consider themselves ìchampionsî would face tough consequences, while those who voluntarily lay down their arms would be given an opportunity to surrender. Lanjar stated that there is currently no need for the army in the operation. The Sindh Police, along with Rangers, are participating in the crackdown, and assistance from Punjab Police may also be sought if required.

He emphasized that the operation aims to completely eliminate criminal elements from the Katcha belt.  The interior minister further said that security convoys are no longer operating anywhere in Sindh and reiterated the governmentís resolve to restore law and order by eradicating dacoits from the Katcha areas.
