Low-level flooding has been recorded at various points along the Chenab and Indus Rivers. According to the Flood Forecasting Division (FFD), water levels in the Chenab River have risen at Head Marala and Qadirabad. At Head Marala, the inflow was recorded at 144,378 cusecs and the outflow at 120,728 cusecs. At Qadirabad, the inflow stood at 119,844 cusecs, while the outflow was 104,844 cusecs.
Similarly, water levels in the Indus River have also increased at multiple locations. At Tarbela Barrage, the inflow was 358,000 cusecs and the outflow was 349,900 cusecs. At Kalabagh, the inflow was 366,503 cusecs and the outflow was 358,503 cusecs. At Chashma Barrage, the inflow was recorded at 359,753 cusecs and the outflow at 340,753 cusecs. Meanwhile, at Taunsa Barrage, the inflow was 311,896 cusecs and the outflow was 305,396 cusecs.
At Guddu Barrage, the inflow reached 345,474 cusecs and the outflow was 312,781 cusecs. The FFD confirmed that all these points are currently experiencing low-level flooding. However, continued rainfall could worsen the situation. Authorities have advised residents of nearby areas to remain cautious.
