A major development project focused on improving road connectivity is actively underway in Buner district . The same initiative aiming to provide the local population with improved travel facilities and better infrastructure. Under the project, the Swari–Dewana Baba Road is being widened, improved and blacktopped over a stretch of 11 kilometers, which also includes the construction of an RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) bridge at Tango.
The total estimated cost of the project is Rs. 1,464.977 million. Under Package No. 4, the project includes the construction of a 3.5-kilometer road from Chinar Pul to Karpa Kandao and a 1-kilometer drainage system for wastewater in Cheena Bazaar. This portion alone is being executed at a cost of Rs. Speaking on the project, Provincial Minister Syed Fakhar Jihan stated that public welfare and development are his top priorities.
Practical steps are being taken to fulfill the longstanding demands of the people of Buner by providing them with essential civic facilities. He further emphasized that this project will not only improve access and mobility but will also promote regional development opportunities and stimulate the local economy.
The minister added that relevant departments have been given strict instructions to ensure timely and high-quality completion of all development projects, and that the journey of progress will continue across the entire province. Local inhabitants has warmly welcomed this initiative and expressed their gratitude to Provincial Minister Syed Fakhar Jehan over initiating the same public demanded project.
