A man died on the spot after committing suicide after throwing himself in front of a train at Rawalpindi Railway Station on Monday. The incident took place at Platform No. 3 of Rawalpindi Railway Station. The deceased was later identified as Gul Nawaz, who was 60 years old.After receiving the report, rescue teams rushed to the site of the incident and shifted the dead body to the hospital for a post-mortem.

Railway police started an investigation into the matter.A Karachi-bound Tezgam Express was derailed near Sihala on Monday, but no loss of life was reported so far. Soon after the incident, railway officials rushed to the spot and started an investigation, keeping in view all angles. Railway officials said that only one coach of the Tezgam train was partially damaged.  Later, the train started its journey to its destination as per schedule.
