A man shot dead his wife in Sialkot over a domestic dispute. The incident took place in Phoo Kalayan area of Siakot. The dead woman was identified as Nazia who was mother of four children. Police registered a first information report (FIR) on behalf of deceased’s brother Mohammad Azam. Local police took the dead body into their custody and started investigation, saying they will soon arrest accused Shafiq.

Earlier in April 2025, some armed men attacked and killed a transgender guru and injured two over resistance in Pakikotli area of Saddar police station in Sialkot. According to police, a transgender named Bablu was stabbed to death with a sharp instrument. Both the armed men fled, leaving their weapons at the scene while fleeing.
