Additional District and Sessions (AD&SJ) Judge, Burewala awarded death penalty to a man after convicting him of murdering his brother-in-law over a dispute related to a passage.According to the prosecution, the incident occurred about a year ago within the limits assigned to Sheikh Faazil police station.

The accused, identified as Afzal Wattoo, opened fire on his brother-in-law Gulzar Joiya following a quarrel over a passageway, resulting in his death. After hearing arguments from both sides and examining the evidence, judge Sajjad Afzal announced the verdict, sentencing the accused to death. The court also imposed a fine worth Rs700,000 on the convict. The court ordered that in case of default, the convict would have to face additional imprisonment as per the law.
