Mansehra Police conducted a large-scale search and strike operation in the areas of Gati Das and Babusar Top within the jurisdiction of Police Station Naran.The operation was led by District Police Officer (DPO) Mansehra Shafiullah Gandapur, accompanied by SP CTD Samina Zafar, DSP Paras, SHO Naran, other police personnel, as well as contingents from the Gilgit-Baltistan Police and GB Scouts.Speaking on the occasion, DPO Shafiullah Gandapur said that Mansehra Police, Gilgit-Baltistan Police, and GB Scouts stand shoulder to shoulder in maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of tourists.
He reiterated that a zero-tolerance policy is being implemented against miscreants and lawbreakers, emphasizing that the protection of tourists and local residents is the police’s foremost priority.The DPO added that the operation was carried out under the special directives of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed and Deputy Inspector General of Police Hazara Nasir Mehmood Satti, aiming to strengthen law and order and boost public confidence in the region. During the operation, police teams thoroughly searched important locations, residential areas, hotels, guest houses, and tourist routes.
The records and identities of suspicious individuals were checked, while local community meetings were also held to brief residents on ongoing security measures. Additional police personnel have been deployed to provide tourists with a safe and peaceful environment. DPO Gandapur further stated that patrolling systems are being improved and modernized to ensure swift response in emergencies. He reaffirmed that Mansehra Police remains committed to its mission of public service and will not allow peace and order in the district to be disturbed under any circumstances.
