These areas may see showers develop later in the day, bringing temporary relief from the ongoing heatwave. Rain, thunder and lightning: During nighttime, a stronger weather shift is expected, as areas including Chitral, Dir, Swat, and Malakand may witness rainfall accompanied by lightning and thunder.
Similar conditions are anticipated in Mansehra, Shangla, Kohistan, and Abbottabad, where storm clouds are likely to build.Islamabad and its nearby regions are expected to experience intense heat during the day; however, some areas are expected to see rain accompanied by windstorms during nighttime.Across the plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, strong and dusty winds are expected to blow through Talagang, Jhelum, and Rawalpindi.In contrast, Sindh and Balochistan are likely to remain under the grip of harsh weather.
Most districts in both provinces are expected to experience scorching temperatures and persistently dry conditions, with no immediate signs of rain or relief.Temperature in different cities:The mercury in different cities crossed the 40 degrees centigrade mark on Thursday morning. As per the channel report, the mercury is likely to reach 43 degrees Celsius in Islamabad, while the mercury is likely to reach 43 degrees Celsius in Lahore today. The maximum temperature in Karachi is expected to reach 37 degrees Celsius today.
