Senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has condemned the inhuman and arbitrary dismissal of three more Kashmiri employees from government service. According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement in Srinagar called the move despotic.
“This is despotism! It’s the duty of the elected government to stand up to this injustice being periodically meted out to Kashmiris by dismissing them in such manner, and safeguard their rights,” he said.
Mirwaiz said interfaith dialogue must evolve into a moral movement rooted in justice—because peace without justice is just a pause, no more. “I urged faith leaders to rise above nationalism, protect diversity, and uphold the moral duty of majorities toward minorities.
From Palestine to Kashmir, only justice, dialogue, and mutual respect can bring lasting peace and end human suffering,” he added. MLA from Handwara Sajjad Ghani Lone in a post on X described the dismissals as “unfortunate”. “This termination concept has been going on for decades. It has not helped in the past. It will not help in the future,” he advised the Modi regime.
