Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday visited the National Police Academy (NPA) in Islamabad and reviewed progress on the upgradation project.During his visit, the Interior Minister directed to complete the first phase of the upgradation work on the prescribed time. Construction work on an 11-storey building should be completed in five months, he added. Mohsin Naqvi was further directed to focus on quality work and transparency in the project.
The Interior Minister also visited the Officers' Mess and ate meal with the under-training officers. Mohsin Naqvi also inspected the sports complex and directed to operationalization of the same.He directed that the firing simulation room should be upgraded according to modern requirements. Mohsin Naqvi said, “National Police Academy is the backbone of the police force”.The Interior Minister said that the best-trained officers and forces are a guarantee of people's safety.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the National Police Academy will be equipped as the latest techniques.On this occasion, Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhwa briefed the Interior Minister about the progress on construction work.He was informed that work on 3rd floor of an eleven-story building is already completed. National Police Academy commandant, CDA Member, and other high-level officers were also present on the occasion.
