Foggy season started in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after which Motorway M-5 was closed from Peshawar to Rakashai due to thick fog and reduced visibility on Tuesday morning.A motorway police spokesperson said the closure of the motorway was aimed to ensure public safety and secure travel.

The spokesman advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during foggy weather and use fog lights while travelling.He also asked the travellers to avoid overspeeding and keep a reasonable distance from other vehicles. The spokesman said that travellers can obtain information on the Motorway Police Helpline 130 before the start of the journey.
