The District and Sessions Court on Friday sentenced the murderer to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh after he was convicted of killing his wife.According to the prosecution,two years ago,Mehboob had killed his wife Gulshana. The victim’s brother, Naveed Hussain, filed an FIR, alleging that his brother-in-law had strangled his sister to death.

The complaint led to the registration of the case at Chowk Azam police station.The police submitted challan in the court. After completing arguments, District and Sessions Judge Jazeela Aslam announced the conviction, noting that the prosecution had successfully presented evidence that proved Mehboob’s guilty.
