" Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik’s wife, Mushaal Mullick, has called for the establishment of a special Board of Peace for Kashmir, similar to efforts being discussed for Gaza, saying the long-running dispute must be placed at the center of global peace initiatives.In a statement, she said Kashmiris were observing India’s Republic Day as a “Black Day,” accusing India of continuously denying the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination.
She stressed that any genuine global effort for peace must include Kashmir as a core agenda item. Mushaal Mullick warned that Yasin Malik’s life was at risk and demanded his immediate release. She also called for the revival of the peace process initiated in 2000, saying that a just and fair resolution of the Kashmir issue is the only guarantee of lasting peace in the region.
Describing Kashmir as one of the world’s most sensitive and dangerous nuclear flashpoints, she urged the international community to act responsibly to prevent further instability. She praised Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, for efforts aimed at promoting global peace, saying Pakistan’s engagement on peace platforms sends a strong and clear message.
