The National Assembly (NA) continued discussion on the regional situation arising out in the back drop of Pahalgam False Flag Operation and India’s provocative actions following the incident. The lawmakers expressed the determination that the entire Pakistani nation is united in its resolve to respond to any Indian misadventure.
Speaking on a motion regarding India's provocative actions following Pahalgam incident, Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari urged India to abandon terrorism as a tool of its foreign policy. He said India is carrying out terrorism in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He said India perpetrates terrorism through proxies not only on our soil, but its hands are also stained with blood from Sri Lanka to Canada and beyond.
The Chairman PPP said Pakistan has no hand in Pahalgam incident as we do not export terrorism, but we are the victims of terrorism. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari categorically stated that Kashmir is not India's territory. He demanded that the people of Kashmir should be given the right to self-determination. Expressing regret over India's belligerent posture, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said Pakistan's restraint should not be taken as its weakness.
He said our armed forces are vigilant, resolute and prepared. Our skies are guarded, our borders are sealed by our valour and our nation stands united to respond to any aggression. He said the people of Pakistan are not made to kneel and that they have the resolve to fight as they love freedom. The Chairman PPP also condemned holding of Indus Water Treaty in abeyance by India describing it as a crime against humanity.
Taking the floor, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam said the baseless allegations leveled by India against Pakistan following the Pahalgam attack were aimed at diverting attention from the Indus Water Treaty. He said the entire nation is firm and united in its resolve to respond to any Indian aggression.
In his remarks, Ijaz ul Haq highlighted the Indian atrocities and blatant human rights violations in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Participating in the discussion, Sehar Kamran said the golden words of the founding father, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, that 'No power can undo Pakistan' reflect a firm belief held by the Pakistani nation.
She affirmed that the nation has strong faith in the country's defence capabilities and nuclear deterrence. She emphasized that no one can cast an evil eye on Pakistan. Abdul Latif welcomed the unanimous resolution passed by the house yesterday which sent a powerful message to India.Farooq Sattar said Modi’s mindset is a threat to peace and security of the world.
He said Modi’s jingoism has not received any support from the world community. Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said India will never succeed in its nefarious designs and that it cannot stop the water of Pakistan. Asad Alam Niazi said India has hegemonic designs and it has no respect for international laws.
