Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that by the grace of Almighty Allah and due to efforts of the Government, Ashura in the holy month of Muharram remained peaceful. All processions and majalis concluded safely in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir.Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the efforts and professional approach of the Army, Rangers, Police, and civil administration during Ashura.

“I sincerely thank every officer, personnel, and soldier deployed for Ashura security,” said Mohsin Naqvi.Minister appreciated the commendable role of Ulemas in promoting inter-sect harmony and brotherhood. He added that the security forces performed their duties with dedication and coordination, providing foolproof security to the mourners during processions and gatherings.Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that across the country, mourners paid tribute to Hazart Imam Hussain (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala in a peaceful atmosphere.

The Interior Minister stated that from the start of Muharram till Ashura, an effective and well-coordinated security plan was successfully implemented. He said that all forces and field formations worked tirelessly, demonstrating exemplary discipline and unity. “We bow in gratitude before Allah Almighty for the peaceful conclusion of the Muharram,” he added.
