Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a detailed meeting with Punjab Minister for Transport and Mass Transit Bilal Akbar Khan during which it was decided to constitute a joint coordination committee for the improvement of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Service. During the meeting, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that thousands of passengers travel through Metro Service daily, so the service should be improved.

Both dignitaries discussed measures to introduce electric transport to curb smog and provide facilities to the general public. Mohsin Naqvi said that electric buses are being provided to the residents of Islamabad first time in history. Bilal Akbar Khan briefed the Interior Minister about various reforms in the transport sector.

Both ministers discussed various measures to improve the conditions of the Metro Bus Service and stations. Both ministers reviewed further expansion of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Service and its routes.
