Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday visited the National Police Academy (NPA), Islamabad and reviewed the building’s renovation.The minister gave necessary instructions to the NPA Commandant Muhammad Idrees. He went round the conference hall, dining hall and other rooms. Speaking to the ASPs undergoing training at the academy, Mohsin Naqvi said that they would be given plots on the completion of their training.
“The batch will be sent to Beijing, China, for one-month training so that their professional competence could be enhanced,” he announced. Naqvi further said that special steps were being taken to resolve the financial issues of the police personnel. “I want an increase in the salary of each and every police official.
I want policemen to take good salaries home,” he said and added that latest facilities would be provided to the officers in collaboration with the National Police Foundation. The minister also assured the officials that the issues concerning their promotion would also be addressed. NPA commandant, on the occasion, gave a briefing to Naqvi.NPA deputy commandant, additional deputy commissioner Islamabad and other officers were also present on the occasion.
