Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, clarified that no final decision has been made regarding the future of Pakistan Public Works Department (PWD) employees. He assured that as government employees, their jobs are secure, and there will be no injustice against them. Speaking during the National Assembly's question hour on Friday, the minister responded to a query from MNA Malik Shakir Bashir Awan. He informed the assembly that projects like Green One, Green Two, and Sky Garden are expected to be completed by December 2025. He also invited members of the assembly to visit the project sites. In response to a question from MNA Shagufta Jamali regarding PWD employees, Pirzada explained that the policy concerning their future has not been finalized. A bill will soon be introduced in the assembly for amendments, following which a conclusive decision will be made. He reassured the employees that their positions are not under immediate threat.
