Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Wednesday rejected reports that a military operation was underway in Tirah Valley.Speaking to the media, he said that the federal government had no intention to carry out an operation in the area. “The KP government is raising hue and cry over the operation, which makes no sense.”He asked the provincial government to resolve its issues with the federal government through negotiations.

“The law and order situation in the province is bad,” he said, and added that it was the responsibility of the provincial government to enforce the writ of the state. But, he lamented, the KP government was prepared to sit with the country’s enemies, and not with the Center.Kundi said that the sacrifices given by the people of the province in war against terrorism could not be forgotten. The governor said that the provincial government was not serious in resolving issues of the masses.
