A notorious proclaimed offender (PO) was killed in a police encounter in Nawab Town area of Lahore on Thursday.  According to details, armed robbers fleeing after committing robbery in Nawab Town were chased by police. At Abdul Sattar Edhi Road, the robbers started firing at SHO Abbas Asad and others. In retaliatory firing of police, a proclaimed offender Shabeer alias Shabeera wanted by police in more than 50 cases of murder, robberies and other crimes was killed.  The body of killed proclaimed offender was shifted to hospital for postmortem.
