A man was killed while five others were injured in a head-on collision between a speeding Mazda truck and an auto rickshaw near the Coca-Cola Factory on Vehari Road on Monday.According to Rescue 1122 officials,the accident occurred after the truck attempted to overtake another vehicle and rammed into the oncoming rickshaw. The deceased was identified as Khadim Hussain(40) while the injured were identified as Gulfraz Ahmed(29).

Muhammad Babar(35),Habib-Ur-Rehman(34),Abdul Rehman Jami(37) and an unidentified man believed to be around 45 years old. Rescue 1122 reached on spot,shifted the injured to Nishtar Hospital and one to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for treatment.Police shifted the body to Nishtar Hospital after completing legal formalities. Further investigation was underway.
