The Environment Protection Department on Wednesday carried out a major operation against brick kilns causing smog in Kabirwala tehsil.  According to the spokesperson, five kilns located at Adda Silaro Wain, Kakkar Hatta Road, and Matital Road were fined Rs 500,000, while one kiln was demolished and another sealed for violating zigzag technology rules.  Inspector Muhammad Amjad led the operation with his team and heavy machinery. The department continues daily actions against pollution-causing kilns and industries across the district.
