Dense fog also badly disrupted the flight operation at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport on Monday as over 25 incoming and outgoing flights were delayed, while three international flights were diverted and landed at Islamabad airport. According to reports, visibility at the runway dropped to 150 meters. Qatar Airways’ flight from Doha QR-628 was delayed by five hours.
Similarly, 9P-531, Fly Jinnah’s flight from Bahrain, was delayed by 10 hours, AirSial’s flight from Abu Dhabi, PF-797, by eight hours and Airblue’s flight from Riyadh, PA-475, by 8:30 hours. Likewise, three flights bound for Jeddah, Dubai and Doha were also delayed by 21 hours, 13 hours and 19 hours, respectively.
PIA flight, PK-740, from Jeddah to Lahore, was diverted and landed at Islamabad airport. Similarly, Fly Jinnah’s flight from Dubai, 9P-513, and PIA’s flight from Damam, PK-248, were also diverted and landed at Islamabad airport.
